Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Australia - Cape Town
Depart Australia on South African Airways via Sydney or Perth to Johannesburg, with a connection through to Cape Town. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel situated on the waterfront. Three nights at SOUTHERN SUN WATERFRONT HOTEL. (B)

Days 2 & 3: Cape Town
You will spend two days touring Cape Town. The first day enjoy a Cape Highlights Tour, visiting Cape Point Nature Reserve and the Cape of Good Hope, Chapman’s Peak, Hout Bay and Sea Point. The next morning you will have another half day tour of the city and Table Mountain which will allow you free time in the afternoon to wander around the colourful waterfront area. (B)

Days 4 & 5: Cape Town - Victoria Falls
This morning you will be transferred to your flight from Cape Town to Victoria Falls via Johannesburg. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Zambezi Sun Hotel Livingstone, on the Zambian side of the Falls. This resort style property is built on the banks of the Zambezi, within walking distance of the mighty Victoria Falls. You will have free time to explore the area, with a sunset cruise arranged on one of the evenings.Two nights accommodation at THE ZAMBEZI SUN HOTEL. (B)

Days 6 & 7: Victoria Falls - Chobe
Transfer by road this morning across the Botswana border to Chobe National Park. Your lodge is located on the Zambezi River where the four great African countries of Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia converge. Spend the next two days exploring Chobe National Park with morning and afternoon game drives in open 4WD vehicles. Chobe National Park is famous for its large herds of elephants, hippos, buffalo and bird life. Two nights at CHOBE MOWANA LODGE. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Chobe - Johannesburg
Today you will be transferred back across the Botswana border to Livingstone Airport for your scheduled flight to Johannesburg. Overnight accommodation at PEERMONT MONDIOR HOTEL. (B)

Day 9: Johannesburg - Nairobi
Depart mid morning from Johannesburg for Nairobi, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day will be free to explore Nairobi. Two nights accommodation at HOLIDAY INN HOTEL. (B)

Day 10: Nairobi
This morning you will be collected from your hotel for your morning tour of the Karen Blixen Museum and the Giraffe Centre. It is at the Giraffe Centre that you will have the opportunity to hand feed the magnificent Rothschild giraffe. The afternoon is free to explore the many markets, art galleries and museums of Nairobi. (B)

Days 11 & 12: Nairobi - Samburu
This morning your safari begins with a flight to Samburu. On arrival, you will be met by your driver/guide and transferred to your lodge overlooking the Uaso Nyiro River. Your time will be spent exploring Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives in this dramatic semi-desert region, one of the few areas in Kenya to see some unusual animals like gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, oryx, Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe.Two nights at SAMBURU INTREPIDS. (B, L, D)

Days 13 & 14: Samburu - Masai Mara
You will be transferred after breakfast to the Samburu airstrip for your flight to the world famous Masai Mara. On arrival you will be met by your driver/guide and taken on morning and afternoon game drives. Here you will explore the rich grasslands and rolling hills known for the huge herds of plains animals, black-maned lion, elephants and many other species. You may like to take a guided walk
or an early morning balloon safari (additional cost) over this magnificent area.Two nights at MARA INTREPIDS. (B, L, D)

Days 15 & 16: Masai Mara - Ngorongoro
Today you will depart from the Masai Mara to Kilimanjaro Airport (Tanzania) via Nairobi. On arrival you will be taken by road to Ngorongoro Crater. This amazing 20 km wide volcanic crater, with its 600m high walls is often referred to as Tanzania’s “Garden of Eden”. The views from the rim of the crater are incredible. On day 16 you will be taken down into the crater for game viewing with picnic
lunch boxes.Two nights will be spent at NGORONGORO SERENA LODGE. (B, L, D)

Day 17: Ngorongoro – Serengeti
After breakfast you will travel by road to Tanzania’s most famous national park – the Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge, the world famous
archaeological site. From there you will proceed to the famous Serengeti stopping for a picnic lunch before arriving at your lodge.
Two nights will be spent at the SERENGETI SERENALODGE. (B, L, D)

Day 18: Serengeti
The day is spent viewing game in this vast National Park, which is regarded as having the greatest concentration of wildebeest, gazelle,
zebra, giraffe and antelope in Africa. During the migration, there are literally millions of hoofed animals on the treeless plains of the
Serengeti. Naturally with the huge number of animals within its borders, the Serengeti also boasts large numbers of predators such as
lion, cheetah and hyena.

Day 19: Zanzibar
This morning you will fly to the island of Zanzibar, via Arusha. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel set
amongst mosques, minarets, Hindu temple towers and church spires, in the middle of Stone Town. Zanzibar Coffee House is an
authentic Arabic house, built in 1885, that has been transformed into a stylish hotel with 8 stunning rooms with antique furniture and
four poster beds.
Three nights at ZANZIBAR COFFEE HOUSE. (B)

Days 20 & 21: Zanzibar
This beautiful “spice island” has a wealth of history. However today it is a mix of many cultures and you will be captivated by the
unique architecture, the exotic cuisine, the smell of spices, the hospitality of the people, the white sandy beaches and the clear blue
sea. You will have two full days to explore the island at leisure.

Day 22 : Dar es Salaam
Today after breakfast you will be met and transferred to Zanzibar International Airport for your flight to Dar Es Salaam International
Airport. Upon arrival in Dar Es Salaam you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
One night at the SOUTHERN SUN DAR ES SALAAM. (B)

Day 23: Depart Johannesburg
This morning you will be met and transferred to Dar Es Salaam International Airport for your flight to Australia with South African Airways.

Day 24: Australia
Your arrival back in Australia today will mark the end of this memorable tour.
